Close your eyes and listen... listen to the waves as they flow over you pulling you into the dance of harmony and bliss...

The Yoga and Mindful Sound classes will take you through an integrated journey of movement, breath and sound to help clear out tension and invite energy, freshness and rejuvenation into your whole being. Singing bowls have been used in ancient cultures for thousands of years. The harmony of sounds will enhance your relaxation experience and will take your meditation practice to the next level.

By vibrating in rhythm with the breath to a particular sound that is proportional to the creative sound, or sound current, one can expand one’s sensitivity to the entire spectrum of vibration. It is similar to striking a note on a stringed instrument. In other words, as you vibrate, the Universe vibrates with you.
— Yogi Bhajan

Testimonials

"We then came to Black Combe Mountain... were we really going to climb right to the top? Yes we were, it was the most exciting yet painful experience, I don't know how I did it, but we all encouraged each other... Once reaching the top I did little jig for successfully completing the difficult task, we climbed a staggering 1,804 feet - 500ms and it was very steep but had really good paths to walk on, we stayed at the top for a while wrote our names on a piece of slate by the monument and some of us did a brief mindful meditation. How exhilarating!"

~ Bei

"...a gentle yoga and meditation session held in candle light aimed at loosening us up and getting us ready for bed. This was amazing and we all wandered back to our beds in a pretty blissed out state, after we treated ourselves to a little slice of celebratory raw cheesecake (it's all about balance, right?!). Whilst the nighttime yoga was the element of the weekend that resulted in Dan feeling the biggest, positive energy shift, the hike was definitely the catalyst for me."

~ Hayley

"Well, the festivities are over, we're all back to work full-time, and it feels like it will never stop raining! Time to plan the next holiday… I'm hoping to attend another yoga retreat with fantastic class leader, Hope Bastine. Her Lake District retreat was a highlight of 2015 for me."

 ~ Karen Byrom

“A fantastic and worthwhile experience. Hope is a very compassionate and knowledgeable professional and she guides you gently through a period of change. Mindfulness isn’t just a course, it’s a new way of living and working and it has helped me manage my stress and my depression in a way which feels more normal and pleasant. I would highly recommend Mindfulness and I would certainly recommend doing it with Hope.”

— Safety Coordinator, Pret A Manger

“I accompanied my mother on Hope’s September retreat and enjoyed every minuet of it. The retreat included a combination of healthily dishes, indulgent desserts and twice a day yoga sessions, which will leave you reinvigorate and centred and thats not to mention the hot top. The trip opened up opportunities to meet like minded people and infused a little sole searching. I can’t fault the retreat and it’s incredibly good value for money considering the quietly of accommodation and food. The only issue is, you’ll find it hard once back at your local sessions, to get to that place in you mind that Hope sessions take you to.”

— Stephanie Blundlell, Project Manager at Clear Village

“I attended the Fresh Perception retreat in the Lake District which was lead by Hope Bastine. I had been to a couple yoga classes prior and this by far the best I have ever attended (to this day the experience is incomparable). Hope paid attention to detail, was extremely patient and ensured that each participant was safe and doing the exercise correctly, speaking at the correct times which helped the group. The ambience set by Hope was amazing and the experience assisted me to this day as it initiated a start in me regularly practicing yoga as a way to successfully combat depression and assist me with relaxing which has improved my life. I think that Hope is an excellent teacher and definitely recommend her.”
