How Do I Release My Potential?
What is Psychotherapy?
It is a sacrosanct space set aside by you and your therapist to look at what has brought you to this place in your life. This might include talking about both past and present life events, current feelings, emotions, relationships, thought processes, or repetitive behavioural patterns. Our therapists will work with you through your concerns; identify the right course of action for you; help you to clarify what you want from life; resolve your difficulties; find healthy ways of coping. Talking through these may take time and will not necessarily be included in one session.
We work in an integrative, evidence-based approach to bring about effective positive change leading you to harness a rich and meaningful life. Your perspective will never be the same again!
Why Therapy?
Are you suffering from a loss? Experiencing a major life-transition? Recovering from an illness? If you are experiencing difficulties and distress in your life it may be easier to talk about personal, family, or relationship issues with someone who is unbiased, has your best interest at heart, and independent of friends and family. Other life issues and events that can be very difficult to deal with include bereavement, divorce, redundancy, health issues, or bullying.
But… you do not have to be in crisis or on the verge of one to engage in therapy. You may be experiencing underlying feelings of life dissatisfaction, seeking to tap into your hidden genius, needing guidance, on the quest to transcending to your 'higher self' - or be seeking balance in your life and spirituality. All of these reasons and more bring people to this approach to personal growth.
How it Works
What makes the process of change work is the active collaboration between us.
Be an active, engaged participant in your healing.
Set goals. Work together to come up with a timeline.
Ask questions. Share feedback so that we can respond and tailor your sessions more effectively.
Ask for suggestions about books or websites with useful information.
Because behaviour change is difficult, practice is also key. It’s easy to fall back into old patterns, so stay mindful between sessions.
Notice how you’re reacting to things and take what you learn in sessions and apply it to real-life situations.
Bring what you've learned between sessions, that information can inform what happens in the session to further help you.
Through regular practice, you’ll consolidate your gains, get through psychotherapy quicker, and maintain your progress after you’re done.
